Septic Tanks & Systems

Septic Tanks & System Supplies — Dickson & Waverly, TN

A lot of Dickson County and Humphreys County property runs on septic rather than sewer, and DC P&E has supplied the tanks, lids, baffles, distribution boxes, field line and pumps that go into those systems since 1988. We keep a limited number of tanks on hand and order the rest to suit the job.

Tanks are a call-ahead item. We hold a few on the yard, but tank size and type depend on the system, and hauling is part of the equation. Call 615-446-2895 with the job details and we will tell you what is on hand and what we can bring in.

Permits Come First in Tennessee

Septic installation, repair and replacement in Tennessee is regulated work. In most cases it requires a permit and a site evaluation through the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation or your county environmental health office, and the system has to be sized to the soil and the household. Sort the permit and the design before you buy materials — the approved design determines the tank size, the field layout and the components you will need.

DC P&E supplies the materials. We do not design systems, pull permits or provide code guidance, and we would rather tell you that up front than have you buy the wrong tank.

Pump Tanks

Where the drain field sits above the tank, or the layout will not run on gravity, the system needs a pump. We carry Liberty Pumps and Zoeller sewage and effluent pumps along with the float switches, check valves, discharge fittings and basin components that go with them. Bring the pump specification from your system design — head, flow and solids handling all matter, and the wrong pump on a septic system is an expensive mistake.

Common Questions

Do you sell septic tanks?

Yes. We keep a limited number on hand and order the rest to suit the job. Call 615-446-2895 with the job details and we will tell you what is available.

What septic parts do you stock?

Lids and risers, inlet and outlet baffles, distribution boxes, effluent filters, sanitary tees, field line and perforated pipe, cleanouts, sewage and effluent pumps, float switches and treatment products.

Do I need a permit for septic work in Tennessee?

In most cases yes. Installation, repair and replacement generally require a permit and site evaluation through TDEC or your county environmental health office. Sort that first — the approved design determines what materials you need.

What pumps do you carry for pump tanks?

Liberty Pumps and Zoeller sewage and effluent pumps, plus float switches, control components, check valves and discharge fittings.

Do you install septic systems?

No. We are a supply house. Septic installation is specialized, permitted work — see our Trusted Local Pros for independent local contractors.
